SRT Chest Rig
With roots in wildland fire and SAR radio rigs, our SRT Chest Rig combines a comfortable and durable frog-style chest harness with an integrated chest pack for carrying critical gear.
To prevent interference with rope maneuvers, the chest pack is approximately 1-1/2 inches thick, which generally allows it to fit anywhere your head will go while wearing a helmet. Three interior pockets, elastic gear loops, and two lanyard attachment points help to organize critical gear. The internal pockets will fit notebooks, small tablets, or survey equipment. PALS/MOLLE compatible webbing on the front of the chest pack can hold a radio pouch, Disto, or any other compatible pouches. When not used for vertical, the chest ascender strap tucks in to a strap keeper to stay out of the way. Elastic and urethane webbing adjusters keep loose webbing from getting caught in your gear. Constructed from 18oz PVC-coated polyester and a waterproof zipper, the chest pack is splash-resistant but not submersible.
The SRT Chest Rig is built with strength in mind. The foundation of the harness uses domestically-sourced MIL-17337 webbing for a balance between light weight and strength. The load-bearing back of the chest pack is lined with a Dyneema/poly blend fabric with high tear strength and virtually no stretch. Made-in-USA acetal polymer webbing hardware is tough enough for rescue loads and hard caving.
