Emergency Foot Loop
Although all vertical cavers should be able to improvise parts of a climbing system, there is no substitute for backup gear when it counts. The Emergency Foot Loop is the smallest and lightest fully adjustable foot loop on the market, while still being strong enough to handle rescue loads.
Weighing in at 29 g without the pouch and 39 g with the pouch, this tiny foot loop can be stashed in a pack or clipped to a harness ready to deploy. Use it as a backup, for haul systems, or for light and fast caving with minimal gear.
The Emergency Foot Loop is constructed from 3mm Marlow Dyneema and spliced in to a "loopie" sling configuration. To adjust, just pull the tail and slide the splice. The foot loop itself is made from 10mm Dyneema webbing with sewn terminations. Our custom urethane adjusters cinch elastic cord around your boot to help prevent dropped gear.
Carabiner not included. We recommend using this foot loop with a DMM XSRE carabiner with captive bar, but it will work with any small, rated, accessory carabiner such as the Kong Mini D or Rock Exotica rockX. The pouch is retained to the carabiner by a sewn tack to prevent loss.

This foot loop is not PPE, and should never be used for life support. The Emergency Foot Loop is designed for short-term use and extremely light weight - there is very little protection from abrasion. Inspect before each use.
