Save a life with
CPR/AED & Stop The Bleed
CPR/AED Training
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) classes provide skills to help you respond to an emergency when minutes count. CPR/AED training is a mandatory prerequisite for most wilderness courses. Southeast Expedition Medical includes a hybrid format of the prerequisite prior to our courses and can provide this training separately by request.
American Red Cross Certification
Southeast Expedition Medical is a Licensed Training Provider for the American Red Cross. All CPR/AED classes will include certification through our parent affiliation, American Red Cross.
Wilderness Context
Since we typically provide this training as a prerequisite to other courses, CPR/AED classes will include discussion on wilderness framework and special conditions, in addition to basic front-country situations.
High-Quality Trainers
Southeast Expedition Medical uses all high quality PRESTAN manikins, in addition to one exceptional Laerdal Resusci Anne QCPR. Approximately half our manikins have feedback, and Resusci Anne also has an app students can download for detailed analysis of their CPR performance. We rotate manikins during class to ensure all students have practice on feedback manikins. We also have several different common brands of AED trainers so that students can gain experience with the variety of AED they may need to use and develop greater confidence in their use.

Stop The Bleed Training
Stop The Bleed classes provide skills to help you respond to an emergency when minutes count. Stop The Bleed training is included in all of our wilderness courses. Southeast Expedition Medical can also provide this training separately by request.
American College of Surgeons Certification
Southeast Expedition Medical instructors are certified to instruct in Stop The Bleed. All Stop The Bleed classes will include certification through our parent affiliation, American College of Surgeons.
Wilderness Context & TCCC Informed
Since we typically provide this training included within other courses, Stop The Bleed classes will include discussion on wilderness framework and special conditions, in addition to basic front-country situations. Our lead instructor, Chris Lee, is also Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) certified and will bring in lessons learned from TECC as they apply to extreme wilderness environments.
High-Quality Trainers
Southeast Expedition Medical manufacturers our own high quality wound-packing trainers out of high grade silicone. Wound-packing trainers include both a puncture and a laceration and can be equipped with fake blood for additional realism. All Stop The Bleed courses will include packing and some may also include fake blood as time allows. All Stop The Bleed courses will also include time with tourniquet trainers from each manufacturer we carry in our store (as of time of writing - CAT, SWAT-T, SAM-XT, SOF-T).
When seconds count, help is minutes away.
